“True Worshippers”
Is the title of my upcoming book, like the title states its about living our everyday life as "True Worshippers"... here is a brief introduction snippet.
Selah!
There is a myth that is silently being perpetuated throughout many churches in America that Praise and Worship is a Sunday morning musical event. Many people believe that it is merely something that takes place in churches everywhere for the first twenty or thirty minutes of the service. This portion of the service is often viewed as a preliminary “warm-up” for the congregation and their pastor.
Many see the first thirty minutes of the service as their “window” to arrive. As long as they are on time for the message, they feel that they are in time. That attitude has also been prevalent at many conferences throughout the nation, where the guest speakers and ministers are still arriving during or after praise and worship, as if the service had not truly begun.
Christians throughout the globe are experiencing the re-birth of true praise and worship. Churches and members of the body of Christ that were once bound by tradition and mere liturgy are now experiencing the joy and freedom that is found in the presence of God. However, there are still many who have not yet learned to let go of the idea of “church as usual”. They have yet to allow the Spirit of God to move freely in their services, and to take advantage of the open invitation to come boldly before the throne of grace, and worship at the feet of our Savior. Also, many have not learned to make private worship a regular part of their everyday lives, which is vital to our relationship with God.
